The Gucci SS24 collection originates from the Cruise 2024 fashion show

The Gucci Cruise 2024 show, which inspired the SS24 collection, presented in Seoul at Gyeongbokgung Palace, is inspired by a dialogue between tradition and modernity . This show marks a celebration of the convergence of Korean and Italian cultures.
The inspirations for this collection include references to Art Deco , with handcrafted details and 3D floral motifs , as well as elements drawn from the 70s and 80s . British influences, such as tartan and equestrian details , blend with classic Gucci symbols like the interlocking G logo. Materials vary from technical gabardine , laser-cut organza and hand-molded sequins . These elements demonstrate a meticulous artisanal technique, perfected and made to last .

This collection therefore offers a variety of acetate and metal sunglasses, combining classic and modern design elements.
The frames are distinguished by their lightweight structures , bold volumes and thick silhouettes. We find the emblematic symbols of Gucci, such as the intertwined G, the Double G, the signature rivets or the GUCCI lettering logo engraved on the temples.
The SS24 sunglasses collection is divided into several key families: Tom, La Piscine, Aspen, Blat & Bend.

The new Tom concept is inspired by a vintage mask created by Tom Ford , artistic director of Gucci in 1994. These glasses are characterized by very enveloping masks, with the square Gucci logo on the hinge, with colored lenses.

The Swimming Pool is a concept Inspired by the atmosphere of the 60s , capturing a languid and sensual spirit . These are transparent feminine frames with a summery color palette, the Gucci logo is embedded in the temples.

Aspen, a special entirely focused on the après-ski atmosphere with colorful glasses and unique, sophisticated models , is a concept that takes up the characteristics of the Aspen slopes.

Flat & Bend is characterized as an innovative blend of technicality and femininity . The frames, offering a palette of feminine colors, are at the top of the trend .

ReAce, the limited edition eco-responsible collection

In its SS24 collection, Gucci introduced for the first time the ReAce material , born from the desire to create an exceptional and meaningful product from the waste resulting from the traditional production process . ReAce is a 100% pre-consumer recycled acetate, which is part of the circular economy process since it is composed of by-products that would otherwise have been discarded. This limited collection allows for a reduction of at least 50% of the carbon footprint compared to standard acetate.
