The polarized coating (written "RAY-BAN P" on the right lens of the frame) is a treatment that improves the sharpness of features by reducing the glare effect, very visible on the sea or on snow. The gray gradient goes from category 3 at the top of the lenses to category 2 at the bottom of the lens, often to facilitate reading.
-RW4006 601S1M: Black frame with white transition lenses that tint in the sun. The lenses change from transparent white to category 3 green.
